Most of us teach maths as we were taught it ourselves. This workshop will consider approaches to teaching maths that are practical for teachers and that promote children’s thinking. It will suggest how teachers can make the most of existing textbooks and resources in order to help all children achieve their potential in maths. Those attending the workshop will be encouraged to share and discuss dilemmas, challenges and successes of maths teaching at the workshop, or in advance by writing an e-mail to sean@mie.ie
