Empowering Minds
Three local schools are involved in the Empowering Minds Control Technology Project. Pupils use Lego Minstorms Kits to build robots and explore aspects of the curriculum in a collaborative way.
Scoil Naomh Fiachra, Clontubrid, Lisnafunchin NS and Scoil Mhuire Kilvemnon display their work at the National RoboShow each May.
An Empowering Minds Course for teachers is held each summer. Other local schools have been involved in the project as well and a local Roboshow took place in April 2006 with Gaelscoil Osrai, Paulstown NS and Newtown/Dunleckney NS
